the best time to go running

Early morning or when Mr. Sun has gone out for the night already. In my opinion, that's the best time to go running in an open field.

Some people though are very brave running under the heat of the sun. Don't they care about the damage it's causing their skin? Hopefully they're wise enough to put on sunblock to avoid any skin damage from the sun's harsh heat.

My son usually swims at 330 in the afternoon. Right across the pool is a track oval. I've seen local celebrities, like Edu Manzano and Will Devaugn, hit that oval under the heat of the scourging sun. I guess they're trying to avoid the thousands of runners frequenting the place after sundown.

They should check if getting very sick, due to dehydration, is covered by their health plan though.

2011 Hot Air Balloon Festival

I was so tired yesterday. We went to Clark, Pampanga for the Hot Air Balloon festival. Twenty-six (26) countries showcased their colorful and very creative hot air balloons in the four day event. This is our first time to go to that event and RJ had so much fun!

Hot Air Balloon Festival, Clark

RJ tried R.O.X stores' wall climbing and he was able to reach the top in just a few minutes. He enjoyed the sky diving exhibitions the most! He was so disappointed though because he thought he was going to try sky diving also. Maybe when you're a bit older, son.

                                                                                            go RJ!
I must say that printing businesses in the area got a lot of profit that day. There were leaflets and paper food wrappers on the ground. But the janitors were also very diligent in making the place clean.

We went to Marquee Mall at Angeles, Pampanga for lunch afterwards. There was a pre-Valentine's event at the mall park at 4pm. A helicopter circled the mall park a few times dropping rose petals! RJ had so much fun trying to catch the rose petals.

By the way, Happy Heart's Day everyone!

a fun way to lose weight

I was supposed to be dieting and exercising to lose the extra pounds I gained last Christmas holidays. Three months of more eating and not exercising has added more extra pounds to lose. Maybe I should just buy an exercise machine that I can use in the house everyday. A home gym would be cool but its quite expensive.

I should just buy a Wii. I can just borrow my niece if I don't find a cheap one online. My son would be so happy once he finds out I'm planning to buy one. Better start searching online now.

where to spot celebrities

I know where to spot local celebrities, rub elbows with them (literally) while also giving your body its much needed exercise.

Where? In a track oval. I am not kidding.

A few years back, badminton was the exercise of choice for 99% of Filipinos. Am I exaggerating? But everyone I know would rather go to a badminton court everyday than sweat in a health club. I think I was the only one who was not into it. I would rather do aerobics in the house.

But now goodbye badminton. Hello running!

what to do in a track oval? play DSi

It looks like people are into running these days. Marathons are being organized left and right.

I have seen local celebrities doing their laps. Richard Gutierrez, Raymond Gutierrez, Michael De Mesa, Drew Arellano, Rovilson Fernandez to name a few.

Why don't you head on to a track oval near you, to exercise and maybe you'll see your favorite celeb there.
