From buying compulsively.
Every credit card owner should remind that to themselves. Unless they don't want to be debt-free. Having a credit card is a big responsibility to one's self. I myself had a credit card, for the first and I hope the last time, 10 (ten) years ago. I'm proud though to say that I was very responsible in using my credit card. I diligently pay my dues in time, mind you I pay a day after I use it.
Funny right? Sometimes, when I use it in the morning to buy something, I ask my sister to pay for it in the afternoon. I do have a very valid reason for doing that, I am a very forgetful person. I fear that I might forget paying for my credit card bills eventually if I wait until the due date.
Advantages of having a credit card? Many people will probably say "a lot". For me though, I can only think of disadvantages of using credit cards. I would rather spend the money that I have in my pocket than use a credit card. I don't want to owe anything to anybody. I would rather buy a small and inexpensive thing using my own money than purchasing a very expensive item that I can't even pay later on.
I am proud to say that I am debt-free. What about you?

I so agree with you. That's the main reason why Hubby and I don't own a credit card, despite our friends telling us to get one. I know some people kasi na nalulubog sa utang because of their credit cards. And I don't think I can be responsible when I know I've a credit card to use.
