have you cleaned up your inbox yet?

This was originally posted by me last April 13, 2009 entitled Messages.

I am trying to organize my email accounts. So far I finished deleting unsolicited emails as well as forwarded messages in one account. Out of 3000 inbox messages, I still retained 500.

Why didn't I delete messages even those from 5years ago?

I didn't delete messages from my family, even if its just a grocery list. Everytime I read their messages again, it makes me remember that I'm part of a group -- a group that God has chosen for me to be in. That no matter how big or small my mistakes or their mistakes have been, we'll always support and respect each other.

I didn't delete messages from my friends, even short messages like "Don't forget, kita kits on friday sa McDo Glorietta". Everytime I read their messages again, it makes me remember that I'm part of a group -- a group that I've chosen to be in. Through thick and thin, they are always
there for me. Never judging me no matter how unbelievable my decisions are.

I didn't delete messages from acquaintances, because maybe 10 years from now I can apply their forwarded messages to my life.

It's not just my email messages. I am fond of keeping text messages as well as Christmas, Valentine, Invitation, even Report cards =)

What about you, what "messages" can't you delete from your life?

Thanks for this post. I was reminded to go and clean up my own inbox. But like you, I think I have a number to retain. I'll keep those that came from people close to my heart.

Just wanna let you know that I have linked you.
Have a beautiful Sunday!

Interesting post.

Can't delete e-mails from Pinoy Forumers Society officers, members and volunteers...of course those are important ones.

Can't delete the Quarantined threads in POEA Forum. I need a permission to delete any thread that I find unnecessary...of course it should be with the concensus of my co-mods.

Can't delete e-mails from hospital's webmail when it pertains to BLS course and increments hahahaha.

Last but not the least, can't delete messages from my family and friends. I can read them over and over again.

Have a lovely Sunday. Cheers!

Naku, I have the same issues with my 1,000 plus unread messages still in my Inbox. To organize my messages, I used a filtering command para lahat ng emails ko coming from my family and friends will automatically go to my folder for family/friends. Yung mga nice articles too, I keep them because I know someday, I will find a good use for them.

Maganda ring basabasahin at balikbalikan ang mga dating emails at messages galing sa friends and family. Have a great week ahead.

I have over three thousand emails sitting in my inbox, so I guess you're not the only one with some problems deleting:)

Stopping by from SITS!

I am guilty of throwing out a lot of stuff. I don't really keep much of anything, but I'm also guilty of not reading half the emails I get because I have little patience for forwarded jokes and chain letters. But maybe I should rethink that strategy.

Visiting from SITS. Hope you had a nice holiday!

Stopping by from SITS. I have a few text messages saved on my phone that my boyfriend sent me. Ones that mean a lot to me. One of my favorites "I love you like bakon an' bizkuts" It's just too sweet not to keep!
