nothing to write?

There are days when I can’t think of anything to write, like right now.

I can categorize my blogs into personal and informative. I have two personal blogs and this is where I write my most inner thoughts as well as the daily happening in my life. The info blogs, I have 8, are niche blogs where I share information that I myself have just read or learned. More time is needed to write a single post on my niche blogs compared with my personal blogs. For my niche blogs, I have to do some extensive research so as not to give wrong information to people. My personal blog, all I have to do is recall the things that happened to me and voila - new blog post!

As I've said, there are days when my mind goes blank - can’t think of anything to write. So what do I do when that happens? For my personal blog, I turn to twitter and read my previous tweets. There was a time when I tweeted about a certain book that I read  and it gave me an inspiration on what to write.

For my information blogs, I update my iPod’s news applications and sync it to my Read Me Later app and I’m good to go - even without WiFi connection. My favorite news apps are Pulse News, Flipboard and World News.

Do you have days like mine also? What do you usually do to solve the my-mind-is-blank-today problem?

MMT #9 - Mom-ME Time, 17 June 2011

I was able to have my Mom-ME time everyday last week. Yes, everyday! Good for me? Well, I'm sure if you're a SAHM or WAHM, you most often than not have this ME time also. As soon as the school bus picks up RJ, I turn on the television and watch the local morning news of ABS-CBN while eating breakfast. I also watch other local channel's morning show while the ABS-CBN news show is on commercial break.

A good combination to start the day, right? Breakfast they say is the most important meal of the day. Although I'm not a big breakfast eater, I try to eat a portion good enough to make me full until lunch time.

I get ideas on what to blog about from the morning show. But I'm appealing to the news team to please, please give more importance to good quality news instead of reporting  gruesome, unimportant news that even give wrong ideas to uneducated people. Report what happened but don't give the details of how the bad deed was done.

I might have frowned a bit when I watched those bad news, but overall my ME time was superb! So, how was your ME time?

Michelle Obama: First Lady, Health Book Author

United States First Lady Michelle Obama signed a deal with the Crown Publishing Group, a unit of Random House publishers, for a book about the famous White House vegetable garden and her efforts to promote healthy eating.

The book, which is currently untitled, will be published in April 2012, Crown officials said in a statement Wednesday.  The book will feature photographs of the garden in all four seasons. The first lady also plans to share some of her family’s healthy recipes and showcase community, urban and school gardens from around the country, Crown officials said. Chigaco Tribune

The First Lady received no advance and has opted to donate the proceeds, and will donate all proceeds to to an undetermined charity foundation.

I make it a point to watch the morning news since I seldom have the time to watch the evening telecast. But I run for the remote, to change the channel, every time the zodiac reading is on. Some are ridiculously unimaginative. Even I can make those horoscopes. Not creative, at all!

Are there lots of people in this country who still believe in horoscopes and fortune tellers? I guess so, that's the reason why top television networks include it in their morning news show.

hostage taking in manila

The hostage-taking incident of a tourist bus, in front of Quirino Grandstand where P-noy was sworn into office a few months back, didn't end happily.

In my opinion, the hostage taker is a selfish prick! Most of the gun wounds found on the victims have entry points at the back. I must admit I made a mistake. He is not a selfish prick. He is an insane, very coward person!

What I don't understand though is how we let the world think we are proud of it!? Quirino Grandstand was at the top of the trending words at twitter --at the very same moment the hostage taker was shot dead. Hostage Taker, Mendoza, PNP and Philippine were trending as well. It is so embarrassing! Filipinos could have avoided "those words" when they saw it trending already. Instead of avoiding, they kept on tweeting and retweeting the said words.

Two hours after, Isko Moreno and Venus Raj joined in the fun!

until when should a mother protect his child?

Are you going to protect your child if he is a criminal? Are you going to hide your child in a safe place if there's a warrant of arrest because of illegal possession of firearms and murder? That's what Marlene Aguilar did. She is the mother of road-rage killing suspect Jason Ivler.

Ivler exchanged gunfire when agents of the National Bureau of Investigation, the Philippine equivalent of the FBI, raided their house early morning of January 18. They have already raided the house twice before but never found him. He shot two NBI agents but he sustained gunshot wounds to the right shoulder and left upper abdomen.

He was able to elude arrest when their house was raided before because of his mother. The mother is now facing charges as well. Is this how a mother should protect her child? Is this the right way to show a mother's love to her child?
