the best time to go running

Early morning or when Mr. Sun has gone out for the night already. In my opinion, that's the best time to go running in an open field.

Some people though are very brave running under the heat of the sun. Don't they care about the damage it's causing their skin? Hopefully they're wise enough to put on sunblock to avoid any skin damage from the sun's harsh heat.

My son usually swims at 330 in the afternoon. Right across the pool is a track oval. I've seen local celebrities, like Edu Manzano and Will Devaugn, hit that oval under the heat of the scourging sun. I guess they're trying to avoid the thousands of runners frequenting the place after sundown.

They should check if getting very sick, due to dehydration, is covered by their health plan though.

running is not for me

I just came home from doing some rounds on the track oval of Philsports Arena. RJ was even doing more laps than me. I have to blame it on my running shoes. The left shoe is bigger than the right one... I think. I have to visit some sneaker stores tomorrow when I pass by the mall on the way to RJ's school.

But honestly though, I would rather do belly dancing or aerobics. Running for me is sooo boring. Shhh... no telling RJ please. He needs to run some days especially since he hasn't been joining his team in swim training for a few months already.

where to spot celebrities

I know where to spot local celebrities, rub elbows with them (literally) while also giving your body its much needed exercise.

Where? In a track oval. I am not kidding.

A few years back, badminton was the exercise of choice for 99% of Filipinos. Am I exaggerating? But everyone I know would rather go to a badminton court everyday than sweat in a health club. I think I was the only one who was not into it. I would rather do aerobics in the house.

But now goodbye badminton. Hello running!

what to do in a track oval? play DSi

It looks like people are into running these days. Marathons are being organized left and right.

I have seen local celebrities doing their laps. Richard Gutierrez, Raymond Gutierrez, Michael De Mesa, Drew Arellano, Rovilson Fernandez to name a few.

Why don't you head on to a track oval near you, to exercise and maybe you'll see your favorite celeb there.
